1. Condition your hair and hair extension
Conditioning hair will restore moisture to its original state, making it smoother and less tangled. We recommend always keeping your hair clean after washing, and using a deep conditioning mask every one or two weeks. Tip: Only condition the ends to avoid greasy roots.
2. Use a wide tooth comb
Although it may be tempting to use a brush because it is faster, using a wide tooth comb (or a special combing brush) is a better idea, trust me! It not only removes tangles more effectively, but also protects hair from tearing and damage. Start at the bottom of the knot and *keyword: patience* work until it is completely sorted out.
3. Keep brushing your hair
If your hair is prone to tangles, then letting it go all day long (especially in the wind) is not a good idea. Brush your hair 2-3 times a day with a soft brush, especially before showering and before going to bed. Ladies, be gentle when brushing your teeth!
4. Protect your hair while sleeping
Speaking of sleeping, did you know that your hair tangles when you sleep? If you haven't, please click here to view our blog post on how to protect your hair while sleeping. These tips will help you wake up without tangling hair!
5. Choose the right product
Avoid any products that contain alcohol. Although we recommend that you avoid the full list of alcohol ingredients in your hair product selection (which we mentioned in our article on organic products in this blog), alcohol is really something you want to avoid. It will really dry out your hair and make it more tangled. Instead, look for natural, sulfate- and alcohol-free products, or those specifically designed for tangled hair.
